About Me
My love of horseback riding, gymnastics, surfing, skiing, & DIY projects lead me down a path of advocating for non-traditional athletes, weekend warriors, industry workers, instructors/coaches & outdoorsmen.

Queens Surf Break Waikiki
Diamond Head, HI
I spent 12 years working in NCAA intercollegiate athletics which gave me a strong foundation of sports medicine skills. After leaving the college athletics industry, I continued to support former athletes on their journey and found that the mental, physical & emotional transition out of college athletics needed more support.
"Active adults don't have the same support system that athletes have, which motivates me to help,
advocate for and provide specialized sports medicine services to the public."

About ATX Recovery
I wanted to create a space for clients to recover from the aches and pains of life and the activities they love.
The 'AT' in ATX Recovery stands for "Athletic Training," which is my official title as a Board Certified & Hawaii State Licensed Athletic Trainer.
The "X" in ATX Recovery represents elite athletes, former athletes, and non-traditional athletes that I work with.
The "Recovery" in ATX Recovery is to let clients know that although I am an Athletic Trainer, my focus is on all things recovery."

Being a collegiate athlete for 6 years, She was by far the best athletic trainer I’ve had. Her dedication to her athletes was relentless. Throughout all my injuries at Hawaii Pacific University, Kelly was always there with the best and most effective treatment to get me back on the field as soon as possible.

The treatment I received from Kelly advanced my recovery from my injury beyond my expectations. The bodywork options she offers in her therapy toolkit, she has mastered and knows exactly what to use and when. Kelly listens carefully to what you say about your needs and watches how you move to establish an effective treatment. I highly recommend Kelly!

I use to get weekly Bodywork done by Kelly in college, her customization and individually tailored treatment is one of a kind. Her positive mindset and holistic approach to healing is a game changer for athletes and active adults. I wouldn’t have been able to be as active as I was without her!

AT was able to provide instant relief with the right bodywork and therapy tools. During the treatment, Kelly was able to explain and give insight on the why and where bodywork was needed. The experience was superb as Kelly also gave tips to help with problem areas. The treatment not only helped physically but also mentally to achieve relaxation from the mind body and soul.

What Our Clients Say CONTINUED
Kelly has been part of my treatment team since I was a college athlete, when she was my Athletic Trainer. Now as a retired athlete, she is my go-to for my bodywork needs. She has helped me with neck pain, shoulder injuries, and so much more with her sports medicine treatment.
Lexi V

...Although she gives treatment through body work (cupping, scraping, pressure points, etc.) she also builds strong connections with you to understand your needs according to your lifestyle & takes your mental health into consideration.
Alyssa Nakamura

... incredibly gifted and effective at what she does. I tried many different physical therapists, healers, and healing methods over the years, and most of the time I’ve walked away feeling disappointed. Relief from years of pain seemed hopeless, until I found Kelly. Her intuition zeros right in on your needs and results in powerful sessions that are unique to you.

Aerial arts, dance & acrobatics
As somebody who works out regularly & is constantly pushing their body- I find it increasingly necessary to have someone, like Kelly, that can work on my body. She is a true ‘HEALER’ in every sense of the word. What sets her apart is her ability to connect with the mind. There have been sessions that she has not only helped the pain of an injury, but lifted a weight off of my shoulders that I didn’t even know was there- all because of her unique understanding of how the body- mind are connected.
David Rowlands
Weightlifting, marathon running, basketball
My first experience with Kelly was beyond what I expected. She had such a warm welcome and her presence was inviting. Her knowledge and intuitive work on my body was exactly what I was needing all these years. I was very impressed how much she knew my body already. I had a stiff neck for weeks, and she took care of that all under an hour. No words will truly sum up my overall experience except the fact I left her session knowing Kelly would be a life long friend and I deeply appreciate her.
Goldie Gress
